2 months ago, at 22 weeks pregnant with our first kid, Conner and I sold our house and uprooted our lives by moving from our home state of Oregon to a new adventure in Texas.
The timing was both perfect and a little daunting. Perfect because of the opportunities the move would afford us, and daunting because we were moving away from EVERYONE we know and love right before embarking on the awesome and scary enterprise of becoming parents.
Honestly though, the transition has been so much smoother that I think either of us anticipated, and we've found happiness, contentment and an increased closeness between us as a couple thus far (though I think it's fair to expect many sleepless nights and potentially a few rough roads in our near future). This blog is meant to keep our friends and family out west better informed on the goings-on of our daily lives.
